Welcome To Wingham Cricket Club. Wingham is a village near Canterbury. Our home ground is at Wingham Recreation Ground where we have our own clubhouse, nets etc. We have two adult sides both playing on sundays in the Kent Village League.The 1st team has gone from Divison 5 to being champions of Division 1 in just 8 seasons winning each division along the way. The 2nd XI was formed to give the colts section members a stepping stone into adult cricket and this has proved so successful that the Kent Village League awarded the young player of the year trophy to the club for 2003, and in 2005 Chris Hart was awarded the same trophy for his outstanding batting performances and wicketkeeping for the 2nd XI. In 2006 the same award went to Shaun French for his all round performances for the 1st XI in their first season in Division 1.This shows how the Colts section has played an integral part in the club's success, also with two of our lads (Shaun French & Simon Chittim) going on to play for kent u17s.
